MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, MI — A woman identified only as “Ashley,” 23, was recorded on video exiting the rear window of a Muskegon Heights Police Department vehicle on Friday, March 28, in footage that has since accumulated millions of views across social media platforms.

Witnesses captured the woman maneuvering through the window of the patrol SUV and departing the scene on foot. The video, posted by AP News, prompted widespread commentary and 3,400-plus shares within days of publication.

The "Tog" Life

The Tog Times has learned through sources that Ashley is a working engagement and wedding photographer based in the Muskegon area. In a statement provided to this publication, Ashley confirmed the escape and cited a prior professional commitment.

“I had a scheduled engagement session in about an hour and I could not disappoint my clients,” she said. “I was not about to do a no-call, no-show—I’m a professional! Besides, they’re are so cute, too. I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to have them in my portfolio.”

A Matter of Scheduling

When asked about the underlying cause of her arrest, Ashley was brief.

“Oh, it’s a nothing burger,” she said. “I’ve been here before. It’s going to take several hours in booking and paperwork and I just didn’t have time today. I’ll bring myself in after the shoot.”

Status: As of press time, it is unclear whether Ashley completed the session. The Muskegon Heights Police Department has not responded to requests for comment. Her clients have not been reached for comment but are believed to be very cute.
